Contact Hugh
When I was first elected as York’s MP in 1992 I set up my office in the constituency. Three of my staff are based at my office on Holgate Road so that I am accessible to York residents even when I am in London at the House of Commons. I have a fourth member of staff in my London office.
If you would like me to help you with a problem, or if you have a policy query you would like to raise with me, you can contact me by post, phone, or email, or in person at one of my fortnightly constituency surgeries. To contact me, or to book an appointment at one of my surgeries, you can contact my office:

Tel: 01904 623713
Email: hugh.bayley.mp@parliament.uk
Please remember to include your home address and postcode, because I can only take up a case or problem on behalf of a constituent. City of York Council boundaries are different from parliamentary boundaries. If you are unsure which constituency you live in visit http://findyourmp.parliament.uk/.
You can also follow me on Facebook. Click here to access my page.
Sign up for my ebulletin
I send out a monthly bulletin which can be emailed to you. If you would like to receive it in future months please email me with your name, postal address and email address. If you do not have access to email a copy of the bulletin can also be posted to your home address.
Legal advice
I cannot act as a substitute for a solicitor. However, I can discuss an issue of a legal nature and perhaps point you in the right direction for expert advice. For expert legal advice you should get in touch with a solicitor or the Citizens’ Advice Bureau. To make a complaint about your solicitor, contact:

Parliamentary Ombudsman
The Parliamentary Ombudsman investigates complaints by members of the public who have suffered an injustice through maladministration by government departments or certain public bodies. Usually the Ombudsman expects you first to have put your complaint to the department or body concerned. If you want to complain to the Ombudsman, you must do this through your MP. For further details, contact my York office.
Local Government Ombudsman
The Local Government Ombudsman investigates complaints about councils and local authorities such as education appeal panels, police authorities, and the Environment Agency. Contact:
