Opening new Amnesty bookshop

I opened a new branch of Books for Amnesty at 42 Goodramgate, York today and then attended an AMNESTEA event to celebrate the opening of the shop.

 

Amnesty carries out important work on behalf of people all over the world who are denied their basic human rights and it deserves our support.  I hope people will visit the bookshop either to donate books or to buy some.  The shop also needs volunteers.  Anyone who would like to help out can email books@amnesty.org.uk.

 

It was a pleasure to open the York branch of Books for Amnesty.  I hope the new bookshop is a great success and it raises lots of money for Amnesty.
