Visiting Amarna House Care Home in York

This morning I visited Amarna House, the local care home now under the management of HC-One, the country’s newest and third largest provider of residential care for older people, to get to know the new management team and meet two very special residents, Honor and Peter Corr, who are celebrating their platinum wedding anniversary.  The couple have been residents of Amarna House for the past two years and celebrated their anniversary with friends and family as well as going on a date to the theatre.

 

To have been happily married for 70 years, as Honor and Peter have, is an inspiration to us all.  I was glad to visit Amarna House to hear about the work they do and to mark this very special occasion.
