Joining Scouts in litter pick

 

 

 

I joined the 1st Holgate Scout Group on a litter pick on the York Walls today as part of Scout Community Week.

 

Scout Community Week is taking place from 14-20 May and aims to encourage scouts to take part in their local communities, raise funds for scout groups and highlight the need for more volunteers.

 

I remember doing good turns as a scout and it was great to see so many young people taking part in this litter pick to help out the local community.  I was very happy to see that the scouting movement is still playing such a strong role in York.
